The course exposes you to the academic study of media while helping you gain fundamental knowledge and skills for using media in various situations. As new and traditional media collide, there is special attention on the impact of digital technology. Additionally, you study research methodology and the philosophy of media and communication in core modules. You can also select from various alternative modules, such as Media Campaign Management and Analyzing Journalism. You can become ready for your future in the workplace with the help of the work placement module. A range of elective modules is available, including those that combine academic study with additional hands-on experience in media, journalism, audio, and social media.

PROGRAMME DETAILS
Mass Communication covers the study of the constituents of mass media such as newspapers, magazines, cinema films, radio, television, etc. It is used to convey the information to the audience. It is a job-oriented course that students would like to pursue to get a job in the print as well as Digital Media sector.
Eligibility Criteria (Qualifying Exam)
Pass with 50% aggregate marks in 10+2 or equivalent. Relaxation to reserved category students as per State Govt. norms.
(5% relaxation to the students of North East states including Sikkim/ Defense Personnel and their Dependents/ Wards of Kashmiri Migrants)
Admission Criteria
Based on Merit in qualifying examination. Reservation for SC/ST/OBC/PH as per State Government norms.
